Employee Spotlight: Lesley DeVaughn
We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to one of our employees, Lesley DeVaughn!
This blog post spotlights Lesley and lets you learn more fun facts about our Digital Assistant.
1. How long have you been with E&A Team, and what do you do here?
I came on board on April 27, 2020, so I have been working with E&A for a year this month. I am a digital assistant, and I help with whatever is needed. Currently, I create and monitor various databases for the company, proofread training manuals for seminars, gather and proofread information for the company blog, and constantly monitor all the Qualified Allocation Plans for all the US states and territories.
2. What is your favorite thing about working for E&A Team?
I have met many wonderful people. I enjoy the supportive mindset of all the employees and the team-like atmosphere. The ability to work from home has been amazing because I have one daughter who is homeschooling this year due to COVID. I will also add that even though I work from home, I still feel like part of the team because I am included in Zoom meetings, occasional in-house meetings, and various communications throughout the week.
3. How have you grown as an individual since working for E&A Team?
I have worked as an educator for over 20 years before coming into the business world with E&A so I have had to learn many new things from all the language used in the housing industry to the various computer programs that I use on a daily basis. The stretching has been a great thing.
4. What is one of your proudest moments at E&A Team?
I have become proficient in using Excel and Google spreadsheets as well as using the whole Google Office Suite. Those things made me nervous at first but now they are my best friends. I still have a lot to learn but I am feeling more confident as assignments come my way.
5. What is something that most people don’t know about you?
I love action movies like James Bond and Mission Impossible. James Bond is definitely my favorite, and I am eagerly awaiting the next one. New movie releases have been greatly missed during COVID.
6. What are some of your favorite things?
New books, pretty journals, great pens and highlighters, chocolate chip cookies, Dunkin coffee, Rae Dunn coffee cups
7. What would your perfect day off include?
Sleeping in with no alarm, doing something outside with my family, a good dinner out, and a new Hallmark movie to close the day
